• Undertaking general practice survey visits to clinics with a GP surveyor in a variety of practices, (remote, rural, regional and metro clinics; solo, group/ branch, multidisciplinary clinics or Aboriginal Medical Services), Australia wide for the purpose of assessing that practice for accreditation compliance against the current Royal Australian College of General Practitioners: Standards for General Practice.• Assessment of a practice is done through a quality system audit of documentation review, direct observation, patient feedback surveys and interviews with practice staff about the standards, practice systems and procedures.• Submission of survey visit report confirming the findings to QPA for the practice being accredited.

Obtaining basic medical or clinical patient history. Performing and recording clinical measurements including measuring blood pressure (manual and automatic), temperature, pulse, respiration, pulse oximetry, blood glucose fingerpick, height and weight. Wound dressing, removing sutures and staples. Assisting with minor procedures or plaster cast application and/or removal. Performing electrocardiograms, peak flow meter, spirometry and urinalysis. Testing for colour blindness and visual acuity. Responsible for sterilising and cleaning equipment and preparation of treatment rooms for patients. First aid and CPR. Explaining and completing patient consent forms prior to minor surgery of Implanon insertion/removal. Documentation of all clinical measurements or procedures in patient files. Patient education and instruction on specimen collection including faecal occult blood, stool or urine samples and 24 hour urine collection.
