About Catalin Mitelut

I am a neuroscientist working on the neuroscience of agency and whole-brain-emulation (WBE). My approach to advancing WBE and behavior neuroscience focuses on neuroethological paradigms where voluntary, self-initiated behaviors can be studied and modeled. I have founded Netholabs Ltd focused on the generation of large-scale neuroethological datasets for WBE, digital mind uploading and neuro-psychiatric research (see www.netholabs.com).I periodically write on AI safety from an agency perspective and machine consciousness (https://arxiv.org/abs/2405.13394).
