Instiglio works to improve effectiveness of development programs by designing and implementing results-based financing and performance management systems.- Facilitated a strategic partnership between Instiglio and Fundación Corona to develop the first Workforce Social Impact Bond in a developing country. This result-based financing model disrupted how governments fund and achieve social outcomes.- Developed a business case methodology to attract private investment to finance fishery-improvement projects, which has been followed by the World Bank and CI Ventures to guide their sustainable fisheries investments. - Co-authored a proposed amendment to the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Fisheries Standard to incorporate key human dimensions that affect fisheries governance, such as tenure rights, equitable distribution of benefits, fishers’ organizations entrepreneurial capacity, and institutional frameworks.

Conexion Colombia was the first crowdfunding platform connecting thousands of Colombians abroad with nationwide grassroots organizations. - Developed and implemented the growth strategy, organized outreach efforts, and managed donor-funded projects and stakeholder relationships. Structured the internal performance management system and increased donor retention rate from 10% to 28%.- Established the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) consultancy services unit, which became the main source of revenues, allowing the transition from an organization of six employees to a social enterprise that channeled more than US$27 million into community development programs that benefited more than 380,000 Colombians nationwide.- Consulted with large companies in Colombia such as Alpina, Grupo Empresarial Bolivar and Corona to implement their Corporate Sustainability programs.
