• Programme Lead for the European Cities Programme, a research, engagement and capacity building programme on the future of European cities. • Responsible for leading rigorous, user-focused research and policy analysis related to climate change policy, sustainable mobility, environmental transitions, and new urban governance and finance models.• Coordinating research collaborations and policy engagement with international partners, hosting workshops and seminars, and presenting research findings to diverse audiences.• Co-leading (with the OECD) the policy workstream of the Coalition for Urban Transitions, with particular focus on policy reforms that can address the climate emergency and facilitate more compact, connected, clean and inclusive urban development.• Leading LSE Cities’ advisory work for the European Environment Agency, including developing a new urban sustainability conceptual framework; regularly engaging with urban sustainability stakeholder group (members include C40, ICLEI, Ellen MacArthur Foundation etc). • Contributing to the development of policy briefs for the Emergency Governance Initiative for Cities and Regions (with UCLG and Metropolis), including hosting workshops and interviewing mayors and other city officials to facilitate sharing of knowledge about emergency governance challenges. • Steering group member for the Beyond Car Ownership Project with the University of St. Gallen

• Managed teams of up to four researchers, liaising with external stakeholders and delivering projects across the ‘Environment, Climate Change & Cities’ research strand. • Project manager and lead researcher for C40-commissioned project on measuring co-benefits to urban climate action, and member of the Expert Review Group of the ‘Global Framework for Inclusive Action’ that drew heavily on the research findings of the LSE Cities working paper. • Lead author on report supporting the development of a strategic spatial development and sustainable transport plan for Yangon, including running capacity building workshops with city officials and presenting work to national government stakeholders. • Coordinated Policy Unit on ‘Urban Governance, Capacity and Institutional Development’ as part of the preparatory process for Habitat III in Quito, including overseeing production of final policy paper and managing the input of twenty global urban development experts.• Developed content and ran regular workshops for the Executive MSc in Cities, including coordination of annual C40 Challenge and leading the taskforce for the ‘Urban Infrastructure and Strategic Planning’ module, engaging with government officials in India and Myanmar.

• Conducted quantitative and qualitative research and writing for a wide range of projects under the environment and climate change research stream, including Going Green, the Stockholm and Copenhagen Green Economy Leader Reports and the New Climate Economy Cities Chapter.• Managed the partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies as part of the European Mayor’s Challenge, including evaluating city submissions and hiring and overseeing 20 researchers who gathered data and wrote briefing notes on nearly 100 cities. Managed the production and contributed to the writing of the resulting report ‘Innovation in Europe’s Cities’. • Centrally involved in organisation and research for the Urban Age conferences in London, Rio de Janeiro and Delhi, including content development and data analysis for the Urban Age conference newspapers, and briefing high-profile speakers from public, private and third sector. • Coordinated LSE Sociology course 'City Making: The Politics of Urban Form' and LSE Executive Education Short Course 'London and Global Cities: Governance, Planning and Design.'

• Executed in-depth analysis, research and writing on topics ranging from UK energy policy to supply chain management for companies such as Vodafone, CEMEX, and Becton-Dickinson.• Developed and managed strategic actions for International Paper, focusing primarily on employee education and enhancing executives’ understanding of changing issues in forest certification.• Project-managed the 2011 McGraw-Hill Corporate Responsibility Report, including managing designers, writers and content providers under tight deadlines and minimal supervision.• Planned and executed a series of four global stakeholder engagement sessions with key sustainability influencers for Cisco Systems.

• Managed communications with city officials in Latin American cities as well as supporting other participating cities throughout the process of disclosing their carbon emissions.• Conducted research into impacts of climate change on C40 cities including innovative adaptation and mitigation measures and their applicability to other global cities.• Wrote funding proposals for a global expansion of the Cities Programme including to ICAP and the Shell Foundation.
