Social Services Paediactric Occupational Therapist
Current- Managed caseload of children and young adults (0 to 18 years old) with a neuromuscular, neurodegenerative, or genetic condition, or with profound developmental disability, impacting on engagement and function in the home environment.- Carried out comprehensive, specialist assessments (including moving and handling), and make OT recommendations to address practical problems encountered by children and their families in their homes. The aim is to enable children and their families to be safe, whilst maximising their independence and development.- Assessment for highly specialist equipment and for major and minor adaptations.- Worked closely with Social Workers, Family Support Workers, Sensory Team, Education, Housing and the NHS to ensure that assessment and recommendations are robust and fully meet the needs of the users.- Experienced with report writing, Housing Needs Assessments, Child in Need and Safeguarding Meetings
