Hello, my name is Catherine! In Lakȟótiyapi, I am known as Thaŋmáhel Wakȟaŋ Ižáŋžaŋ Wíŋ. I am a highly motivated and passionate professional. I have a BSPA in Management from Indiana University's O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.From a young age, I have harbored a keen interest in human behavior, culture, and economics. This interest has evolved into a passion for management, advocacy, international affairs, and statistical research. I discovered my passion for impactful statistical research while working on the COVID-19 Impact Survey with Indiana United Ways. This project involved conducting research to identify the impact of COVID-19 on Indiana residents and pressing issues in our communities. In addition, I have honed my skills in event management, advocacy, and communications while working as a Student Programs and Events Undergraduate Assistant at IU's First Nations Educational and Cultural Center.I am always seeking opportunities to learn and expand my knowledge in various aspects of public affairs, policy, and law. My overarching aspiration is to create a significant and long-lasting difference by promoting economic empowerment, social entrepreneurship, and advancing policy and legal initiatives, particularly in the lives of underprivileged and Native American communities and families.
