Types of fraud are as follows: stolen checks, kiting, Nigerian Check Scam, counterfiet and forged checks. Loss prevention was insured by finding these types of fraud in a timely fashion. This allowed time to make adjustments and off-system returns before the funds were able to be withdrawn. Clear understanding how the entire check processing system works (federal districts, overdrafts, deposit item returns,exceptions, late returns and adjustments). In addition, to BSA, AML, CIP and the Patriot Act.This was a team effort type of position, as working with branch and security personnel was necessary. VISA check and credit card processing disputes all within chargeback guidelines and within deadlines assuring loss prevention for the bank. -
