Within Dimension Data’s Managed Service offerings, I direct the administration of the Global Service Centre in Melbourne, one of 6 Global Service Centres worldwide in my role as facilitator for a department of approx. 200 engineers in Melbourne. Additionally, I am a key contributor to Operation Talkback, an initiative to improve the work environment across the Victorian offices; Chair of the Social Club Committee; and also a leading participant of Dimension Data’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives 'Heads Hearts & Hands', Environmental Think Tank and Ardoch Literacy Buddies. Forethought is an established and highly successful strategic marketing firm underpinned by a strong research focus. As the first point of reference for 65 staff, the role of Office Manager is that of “go to” person for travel and meeting requirements, security passes, equipment and administrative support. In this position, I showcased my experience and knowledge as a skilled administration manager with the polish and interpersonal skills of an exceptional front of house manager, where my bright personality is an asset in building genuine rapport with clients, respondents and suppliers. At Forethought Research, my role was responsible for Travel and Accommodation bookings, co-ordination of corporate staff events, venue and budget management for off-site events. In addition, accountability for all normal Office Management tasks such as security, new staff induction procedures, meeting rooms and catering, printers, office maintenance and safety, database management, staff equipment and supplies. In my short time at Forethought I implemented a system for tracking travel costs across multiple budgets and client contracts, allowing the company investment in the Consultants business development opportunities to be reported and measured. Additionally, I planned and executed the 2010 Christmas Party and a complex office seat shuffle in 2011.

My portfolio included travel coordination for all associates nationwide, event planning for Head Office, responsibility for internal communications, meeting rooms and catering, shared equipment, office security, parking, PO preparation, invoice processing, and buying of consumables and staff amenities for the 170 strong Head Office.

Working within a small engineering company focused on the drilling platform/Energy sector, I used my exceptional problem solving skills to bring organization to the business. Prior to my recruitment to this all-encompassing role, the business was subject to the disruption caused by a lack of man hours to deal with routine business administration and financial matters. Working on my own initiative, and without supervision, initially I dedicated my process management skills to creating accounts systems, invoicing templates, contractor time sheets, report templates, and creating a filing system that enabled access to technical information for a multitude of projects. I tackled the business cash flow and credit rating, resulting in better access to credit on better terms. I analysed business spending patterns and found ways to be more cost efficient – for example, by changing to a mobile phone plan that cut costs by more than 50% per month and through diary management for improved time planning when scheduling business travel, and organizing site appointments with a view to reduce and optimize both drive time and transport costs.
