I have just completed a year as a Clubs and Societies assistant at the University of Leeds union. This involves, administrative skills, communication with students and staff, and involvement in public relations and marketing. I have been involved in many society based projects as well as union developments such as a new games room and weekly newsletters. This job has helped me develop my administrative skills as well as interpersonal relations. I have been allowed to express my own views and creative mind through the creation of posters and presentations that have been shared across the union and to all students. I have also enjoyed working at my University union to further understand the inner workings of a business that focuses on the wellbeing of young people from diverse cultural backgrounds. This intertwined with my degree topics has been a great attribute to further my understanding of the world.
