Carolina Health Samaritan Society (CHSS) is a health-oriented organization which aims to unify Carolina students interested in the health sciences in order to contribute to better health outcomes by empowering the community to protect and promote health and wellbeing from a samaritan perspective. Through these involvements, the organization focuses on giving students opportunities to apply interests in organized medicine to helping the community.

The Carolina Harm Reduction Union is dedicated to preventing opioid overdoses and promoting safety on college campuses. Our goal is to educate and equip other students with the knowledge and tools necessary to prevent overdoses and other harms caused by substance use. As a member of the general body, I assist with community outreach, education and awareness!

A Moment of Magic Foundation at UNC Chapel Hill is a chapter of the national 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 2018. It is our mission to provide emotional support to medically vulnerable and underserved children in the Triangle area, reminding them to be brave, strong, and fearless. Our most popular service is character visits. In this service, UNC volunteers create magic when they visit kids as popular fairytale and superhero characters. UNC AMoM hosts visits in hospitals, social service institutions, at large public events, and inside family homes. Most importantly, all services provided by our chapter are free of charge to the family or organization we serve.

Association of Nursing Students (ANS) is a student-led, pre-professional organization within the School of Nursing. We are officially recognized by both the University and the North Carolina Association of Nursing Students (NCANS). I am currently a member of the Pink Heels Committee which entails the organization, logistics, and planning of Pink Heels this year! Every Thursday evening, North Carolina Farmworkers are brought into the Benson Area Medical Center for our night clinic. This clinic is associated with the NC Farmworker Health Program which aims to advance the health and well-being of agricultural workers and their families by consulting, leveraging resources and facilitating shared learning with a statewide network of partners. My tasks included checking patients in and out, tracking lab orders and results, and other general volunteer duties.

Every Friday afternoon I spend 1-2 hours with the lovely residents of Carolina Meadows! Participating in activities and assisting and communicating with residents during activities are the main roles of a volunteer.
