It champions the development of skills and qualifications in the industries it serves hence the ownership of the GTO and the RTO which are both charities.Responsibilities• Full responsibility for finance including the provision of all financial and non-financial reporting to the management team, CEO and the Board of directors;• Full responsibility for other business service functions.Achievements • Worked with a new CEO to re-structure the organisation and produce a 3 year strategic plan;• Instrumental in the successful merger of NTHA with another association;• Re-engineered business processes to ensure the integrity of the financial data and close gaps in control;• Introduced a rolling budgeting process;• Following the departure of the General Manager of the RTO, led the RTO to make sound commercial decisions to consolidate the revenue streams and to address compliance issues. (6 weeks, 2.2FTE, 350 users);• Lead the organisation through planning cycles;• Introduced a product viability tool which enables any area of the business to assess the detailed revenues and costs of an activity, course or contract and formalise an authorisation process. NSW TAFE – Separation from the Department of Education (8 month project- Jan to Aug 2016) Program Manager ResponsibilitiesTo program manage the transition of corporate services including legal, payroll, property management and procurement to TAFE NSW’s own capability to fully separate from the Department. Achievements • Provided project management discipline and documentation to projects which had started prior to my joining.• Assessed and analysed the services provided by the Department of Education and liaised with TAFE NSW Managers and Department of Industry Managers to consider options for transition.• Produced Control Documents (Project Plans and Time Lines) and conducted verbal and written reports to the TAFE Management Team, consisting of the Managing Director and his Line Managers, the Executive Leadership Team, (Managing Director, Line reports and Institute Directors) and the Minister for the Department of Industry.
