Over the past 28 years, I have brought my passion and commitment to making a change across the world, be that Europe, Asia, Africa, or my current base in the United States. My curiosity about people and their cultures, alongside my desire to understand more, has helped me successfully lead multidisciplinary and multinational teams. In addition, my knowledge of both the private and the public sectors means I value the role that all sectors can bring to bear in creating partnerships for sustained social impact and financial success.

Vice President, Development And CommunicationsTrees For The Future Mar 2024 - PresentSilver Spring, Maryland, UsTREES trains farmers in agroforestry and sustainable land use - so that they can grow vibrant regional economies, thriving food systems, and a healthier planet. We believe in a world where farmers leave a legacy of opportunity through sustainable land practices. We are witnessing farmers reclaiming their agency, breaking the cycles of climate change and generational poverty, and rebuilding our food systems from the ground up. Our mission is to improve livelihoods of impoverished farmers by revitalizing degraded lands. -

Dec 2017 - Feb 2024A partnership consultancy that helps multi-sectoral partnerships thrive.&co. provides a safe space for partnerships to identify and hone the skills and the expertise that will ensure success. Founder Cate O'Kane has more than 25 years of experience with private sector companies, non-governmental organizations and government entities and has developed partnerships that create impact, both financially and socially. For many years it has seemed that organizations had to go it alone to remain competitive and achieve success. To be the best meant leaving others behind. Different organizations, different sectors, different personalities - it takes time and practice to ensure that it works in a way that really creates success. Whether you need help understanding how to bring a partnership together or help in taking an existing partnership to the next level, &co. has the skills and expertise to catalyze your partnership impact.Recent and current clients include: - ACTIONAID USA – development of corporate engagement strategy, guidelines and processes.- UNITED NATIONS UNIVERSITY/NATHAN ASSOCIATES – analysis and recommendations towards new partnership & policy opportunities for Women's Health and Equity.- PATHFINDER INTERNATIONAL - development and implementation of their new Corporate Partnerships Strategy to support diversification and innovation.- GLOBAL BOOK ALLIANCE/USAID – ongoing strategic work, development and implementation of a Partnerships Strategy for the Alliance- PYXERA GLOBAL – current engagement in 2022 Digital Empowers Campaign with TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES. - COLLABORATE UP/USAID – strategy advisor and consultant in support of End 2 End Data Collaboration. -
