Caterina Di Fazio, Ph.D. (Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne; thesis title: Phenomenology of Political Space), is a political philosopher, holding a French National Council of Universities qualification in philosophy. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at Radboud University on “Migrant Inclusion and Wellbeing”, and a visiting fellow at the EUI School of Transnational Governance. Previously, she was a Remarque Fellow at New York University with the project “Mobility and Borders”, a senior researcher on “Climate Change and Disinformation” in a project led by Harvard Kennedy School and LUISS, and a postdoc at Maastricht University Studio Europa on “Identity, Heritage and the Citizens’ Perspective”. She also held several visiting scholar appointments at Columbia University, Scuola Normale Superiore, the University of Oxford, the University of Western Australia, and a fellowship at IOM. She completed her BA and MA in philosophy at the University of Bologna. She is also co-founder, together with Etienne Balibar, of the transatlantic consortium Agora Europe, member of the UN Network on Migration. Her research is centred on the phenomenon of human mobility, borders, and migratory and maritime routes, also in relation to climate change. Her first book is Acqua come frontiera. Politiche per una nuova cultura della mobilità umana (Feltrinelli 2022).
