To increase sustainability actions at the new Watson Marlow site, I worked with colleagues to address initiatives that range from reducing greenhouse gas emissions to increasing biodiversity net gain. A main project that I headed was certifying the site with the ISO 14001 standard. Community engagement was also a main focus, specifically working with local schools to improve outreach and education of the company. I strengthened the waste management system by adding more waste streams to lower environmental impact. Aside from sustainability work, I assisted in the verification and validation of all product lines. This included testing products, ensuring manufacturing excellence, and writing the final reports.

I supported two sections of the Exploring Sustainability course at UNH through grading, mentoring, and planning lessons. This opportunity provided me the ability to plan and teach classes. I was able to deepen my comprehension of sustainability, while expanding my connection with peers.

This internship involved educating the UNH students and public on the new smoke-free campus policy through presentations, social media, and advertisements. I also collaborated with leaders between two UNH organizations to discover knowledge about the human and environmental health effects of tobacco and smoking.

Collaborated with CAMPRI Project members to allow vendors to test sensors on equipment made at the UNH lab. Some tasks included cleaning, organizing, data deletion, calibration of equipment, and solving equations. I also networked with members of NOAA, specialists, and researchers in their respected fields.

Completed all necessary WSI, lifeguard, CPR, and first-aid training. Promoted teamwork, trust, and enjoyment in every swim class to over 60 students every summer to keep them safe in and out of aquatic environments. Taught children from ages 1 to 10 how to successfully be safe and move in the water. Maintained excellent communication with the children and their parents, as well as adapted to changing situations. I worked very hard to build a relationship with every child, so that they could feel safe with me in the water and continue to progress their skills. Provided feedback and communication with parents. At the summer camp, I ensured that all campers were safe in the water through my lifeguard training. Managed the pool area, including the chemicals and the machines that needed to be maintained.
