I’m Cath, a PhD candidate in Health Research at the University of Stirling, working with the Centre for Healthcare & Community Research (CHeCR). My research focuses on understanding the experiences of adolescents living with chronic musculoskeletal pain. I’m exploring the barriers they face in navigating healthcare systems and the support that helps them manage their condition and transition to greater independence.This work builds on my practical experiences in health and social care and combines insights from young people, parents, and professionals. By highlighting the gaps in healthcare delivery and the ways these can be bridged, I aim to contribute to more person-centred and inclusive approaches that empower young people and their families.I’m always eager to collaborate with others who share an interest in improving healthcare access and outcomes, particularly for underserved or overlooked communities.
