Patient Safety And Least Restrictive Practice Lead
Current- Responsible for oversight of the implementation of the patient safety strategy within the Charity.
- Responsible for the implementation and review of the strategy that supports the reduction of restrictive interventions and application of safe practice that meets best practice and regulatory guidance.
- Provide patient safety expertise/leadership within the Charity, demonstrating compassionate clinical leadership, visibility and the continued development of the patient safety culture.
- Oversee and support patient safety improvement, ensuring that systems thinking, human factors understanding and just culture principles are embedded in patient safety processes, including least restrictive practice.
- Utilise quality improvement methodology to lead and coach local improvement programmes linked to restrictive practices (i.e. programmes to reduce use or to meet certain standards).
- Promote patient safety insight, incorporating understanding from a variety of patient safety intelligence, including incidents, investigations, mortality/morbidity reviews, clinical audits, positive experience.
