I’m a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with over 25 years’ experience, with a particular focus on pupils with SEN and disabilities I work as 1:1 Support or in a classroom setting Main Functions: To assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupil to whom I am assigned, to enable him/her to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them. As a HLTA, I have a unique ability to see where pupils need support, enabling me to reteach the ideas in a way the pupils can understand. I also communicate well with lead teachers and with other teaching assistants, to support a team atmosphere.
