Most recently this meant navigating the airline safely through Covid-19, including dealing with international border closures, health restrictions, freight security, and quarantine-free travel zones.In her five years at the airline, Cath worked on Air New Zealand’s behalf in policy areas such as legislative change impacting aviation, and regulatory pricing outcomes. She advocated successfully on matters relating to New Zealand’s air services agreements, and for beneficial changes to Civil Aviation Rules.

Cath led a team of regulatory specialists, offering a regulatory support service to the wider business. The team managed regular disclosure and compliance, managed breach scenarios, and wrote submissions on matters of interest to Vector.The role ensures the regulation team offer the best possible service. Advice is relevant, specific, and tailored to ensure the best possible outcome.

In this role I build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive positive compliance outcomes. I lead the team to ensure regular and reactive compliance is managed. I work to ensure delivery of regular compliance obligations for the electricity and gas businesses, managing multiple stakeholders from a variety of teams to deliver quality information. I ensure material is understood by senior stakeholders, and that questions are answered. In this role I developed a new engagement strategy for Directors to understand and approve Vector's disclosures via presentation and summary board paper. This new process represented delivery of complex material to board members in a simple and efficient manner.

Developed an efficient annual price compliance programme Lead team members to work collaboratively, and ensured they developed a real understanding of the legislation, regulation and guidelines which inform their work.Developed and shared a clear understanding of the regulations, legislation and contractual obligations Network Pricing is compliant to.

Developed a new process for delivery of customer works and ensured its implementation within Siebel CRM. This meant working closely with stakeholders from Vector and our field service providers to ensure success.

Assessed team functionality, project numbers, resource application and made recommendations for changes to human resource structure, aligning skill set with task.Development of new processes which were leaner, with a goal of efficiency and cost saving, as well as efficient delivery of works to customers.
