I'm a Physics Graduate from TU Dublin. I have completed an Ordinary BSc Degree in Industrial & Environmental Physics with a Grade of Merit One. Since completing this degree, I am skilled in Microsoft office, Programming, electronics and data analysis. Laboratory skills were also a key skill that I have gained over my degree, which includes health & safety, handling of laboratory equipment, electronic safety and formal report writing. Other key skills from this degree include Optics, Thermodynamics, Semiconductor and Vacuum, Environment & Renewable Energy. For my final project in my Ordinary Degree, I had to create an Automated Greenhouse, where I had to program sensors and other components to maintain the conditions of a plant as it germinates from seed to sprout. This project was a good challenge that did test all my skills that I have learned over the years. I was delighted with the outcome of the results on this project and would be interested in doing something similar in the future.In the third year in Physics Technology at TU Dublin, I underwent a 7 month long work placement with the Medical Devices Research Group at INL in Braga, Portugal. In the final year, my thesis was on the development of a system to measure the tear meniscus height using a standard webcam. I was awarded a 2.2 in BSc. (Hons) in Physics Technology, with a 1.1 on my Thesis.My strongest skills are in team cooperation, mathematics, computational physics and in-depth analysis. I am a highly-motivated person who is looking to further my education, while also seeking more industry experience and expanding my network with professionals in the field. I have a strong interest in imaging, semiconductors and programming.
