I have performed across the globe, from New York to Shanghai, and London to Monaco for clients such as Premier Sports, Allianz Insurance and Almac Group.

The process of compiling selling prices for these products is complex as their are so many variables and so many factors that affect it, for example, quantity, product colour, branding method, number of colours to be branded, required lead-time etc. The challenge was to design a front-end web application that would simplify this process for the user.

At 19 and straight out of catering college, a partner and I set up Rock the Planet, a late night bar and live music venue, situated in the centre of Dundalk. Concentrating primarily on original acts, we regularly had the pleasure of the company of such bands as Picture House, Glen Hansard and The Frames, plus many more.My time spent here was quite short, as I gave it up to tour around Germany as a musician myself. However, I think I learned more in that short time, than any college course could have thought me. There's nothing like real life experience!

There is no better way to learn about people, and their expectations of customer service than working as a waiter. You see the best and worst in people, allowing you to quickly develop ways of dealing with different people, with different opinions, and one after another. Working in a busy hotel also gives you an insight into the need for flexibility, hard work, long hours, having to often work split shifts (6 hours on, 6 hours off), for 7 or more days in a row. Certainly character building stuff!
