As Senior Team Writer at ReFresh Your Step, my job was empowering clients to unearth and articulate their strengths with clarity and purpose. I worked with entry-level to C-Suite clients across a diversity of industries to create resumes, LinkedIn profiles, cover letters, bios, and web content.

I led a department that did far more than produce resumes, internship opportunities, and academic schedules. Our office was a construction zone. Lives were built here.As the director of the Career, Academic and Personal Counseling Center (CAP) I had the opportunity to facilitate bridge building. Delivering effective service on our small liberal arts campus means growing programs organically one positive relationship at a time. As director, I reached out to faculty, alumni, parents, and potential employers to make sure the programs and services we offered our students were effective in moving them forward personally and professionally. Our team of academic, career, and personal counselors were outstanding and each brought a sense of purpose and call to every interaction they had with students.

I have written hundreds of resumes for students and alumni in all different disciplines and stages of career. I've had a chance to work for university staff members, tenure-track faculty, and senior- level management.The rich diversity of experience that comes from working in Higher Education always amazes and inspires me. As one of the most in-demand speakers on campus, you will frequently find me presenting career-related and professional development topics to students, staff, and faculty groups. I visit business classes, professional seminars, and extracurricular groups like ENACTUS to share what I know, and teach others how to position themselves for professional success. I also present to staff and faculty groups to inspire, help them to reflect, and encourage them to keep passion and a sense of vocation at the center of their work experience.

As a direct result of my efforts, our campus currently offers a 3 credit hour mandatory class designed to provide First Year students a common shared experience and faculty support as they acclimate to campus culture and university life.

Managed 2 women's residence halls housing up to 220 women and a staff of 20+ student workers. This position allowed me to learn about the dynamics of teams, management strategies, staff development and crisis management.
