Returned to the Community Labor United, a Boston-based organization that promotes the interests of low and middle income families in the Greater Boston Area by building coalitions between labor unions and community organizations. As part of the Care That Works equitable childcare campaign, researched strategies to support unionizing childcare workers at the state level. Utilized knowledge of child development and the preschool-to-prison pipeline to develop recommendations for how to address post-pandemic childcare needs without resorting to punitive or exclusionary discipline. Selected through the Tufts Tisch Summer Fellows Program as an intern for Groundwork Somerville, an urban farm that employs high school students as environmental leaders. Led high school students in a summer of farming and positive youth development through mentorship and workshops on topics including organic agriculture, sustainable food systems, environmental stewardship, workers' rights, and public speaking. Grew organic produce and distributed it to low-income areas through a mobile farmers market, food pantry, and free community fridge. Met with legislators including Representative Ayanna Pressley and State Representative Erika Uyterhoeven to discuss environmental and youth empowerment priorities in Somerville.
