• Review Surface Mount Technology (SMT) build schedule and run weekly quality reports in Factory Logix Analytics for those assemblies ready to be built. The quality report identifies manufacturing defect trends, based on previous builds. This gives the engineer an opportunity to correct the issue while the product runs on the manufacturing line and promotes a proactive, rather than reactive, approach.• Organize the quality reports by inserting a pivot table and setting up specific fields for the engineer’s use.• Use Factory Logix Production Portal to marry Fiber Tray product test results with the serial numbers of the lasers installed on the tested product. This information is then sent via FTP to the customer for their service records.• Update the QBOM (Quoted Bill of Materials) standard with the number of SMT placements and assembly time needed to manufacture a specific assembly. Load the QBOM into Infor and update the Z-adders (overhead costs).• Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for "BOM Load" and the "Engineering Change" process.• Continuation of BOM Specialist responsibilities listed below (GMI was acquired by East West).

• Use Microsoft Excel to manipulate customer Bill of Materials (BOM) into standardized format.• Verify component specifications (RoHS compliance, package size, polarity, SMT/PTH, etc.) using Silicon Expert and manufacturer’s datasheets.• Upload customer BOMs to Product Data Management and Materials Resource Planning systems using Aegis Factory Logix (PDM) and Infor (MRP).• Create Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in Infor and notify appropriate team members.• Migrate over 400 assemblies from Aegis Checkpoint V7 to Aegis Factory Logix including BOMs, CAD, and Visual Aids.
