Completed training as a Mayo Clinic Hospice Volunteer with a focus on the Buddhist approach to illness and dying and working with people of other cultures. Begin training as a Heavenly Messenger with Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre CA in November, a 2 year program focusing on the Buddhist teachings on aging, illness and dying.

2013 I am facilitating a year long, meeting monthly, exploration of Karen Armstrong's Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life through the Assisi Heights Spirituality Center in Rochester. I have guided meditation at the Federal Medical Center prison since 2006. I guide Vipassana mindfulness meditation at Assisi Heights Clare Reflection Space. I have practiced Vipassana since 1993 and have completed the 3 year Dedicated Practioners program II through Spirit Rock Meditation Center, Woodacre CA.

Primarily put on a week long international and independent film festival in Rochester MN every spring. Participate in all the organizational work in putting on this festival and responsbile for fiscal management of this event.

I currently have a tour itinerary planned for October 2018. There are two options China and Tibet, or Tibet only. My latest tour was completed in June 2012 which included 18 days including Shanghai, Xian, Tibet and Southwest China. I have conducted tours to China since 1984 and added Tibet in 1993. I have travelled to China over 35 times, including a recent 2009 trip when I organized and conducted a partner city delegation for the Mayor of Rochester, including the Chancellor of the University of Minnesota, Rochester. I've lived in Shanghai for 2 months of independent study and in 2007 self travelled to western Tibet on pilgrimage to Mt.
