Support Bay Area community colleges to be responsive to industry needs, under the California Community Colleges "Doing What Matters for Jobs & the Economy" initiative.

A project at Foothill-De Anza Community College District, funded by the CA Labor & Workforce Agency to partners, NOVA, SolarTech and FHDA. I coordinated the training response to industry workforce needs in renewable energy and efficiency.

The CompTechS Program at Foothill-De Anza Community College District was funded by the Advanced Technological Education Program of the National Science Foundation to study the impact of the program on student persistence in the IT field, especially for low income and underrepresented groups. This project was a collaboration between community colleges, SolarTech, and economic development agencies to train Solar Photovoltaic installers to meet workforce needs. De Anza College managed the project and San Jose City College, Cabrillo College and Ohlone College delivered training.

Projects funded by NSF ATE include "An Experiential Learning Model for Technical Education," (PI) and "Scenario-Based Learning for Technical Education," (Co-PI).
