I have been fortunate to work in both in-patient and out-patient settings with children, adolescents and adults. My professional life began in 1991 when I moved to Arizona and I began working for TERROS Counseling. I also contracted with Sojourner Center, Devereux and EAP Preferred/Counseling and Family Resources. I feel honored to have worked for and grown with these amazing agencies. I have also worked for 14 years as an Intervention Specialist with Peoria Unified School District with students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. I enjoy working with children but my passion has been within my private practice with all ages. I established The Center for Positive Change, L.L.C. in 1999 and it has continued to grow and manifest with me. I offer Individual, Family and Couples Counseling drawing from a vast arena of therapeutic techniques and specialties. Advanced Training: In 1996, I was trained in Brief Solution-Focused Therapy by Scott Miller, Ph.D. as part of a two year intensive training program. During this same time, I was given the opportunity to focus my training on the new trauma response techniques and learned how to use Thought-Field Therapy and Emotional Freedom Technique. I completed my Reiki Master Level Training under the watchful eye of Mark Newman. I took one year of advanced study at the Gestalt Institute of Phoenix in 1992. For my Masters Degree my primary focus was in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Biofeedback. Specialties:Stress Management, Trauma and Transformation, Individual, Family and Couples Counseling. Art Therapy with children and teens, Family Sculpting, Communication, Problem-Solving and Cognitive Restructuring.
