Working as part of the quality strand of the business my main purpose was to coach, train, manage and develop the team of Internal Verifiers in the quality management of awarding body standards and approvals. I also managed verification delivery and improvements, carried out internal standardisation, monitored and managed the assessment and verification practices with the awarding bodies and sector skills councils.

The role involved product development of new qualifications and establishing cost-effective delivery methods across a range of subject areas. In addition it included overall responsibility for internal and external verification as well as observation and quality assurance of delivery staff.

The role involved overseeing a range of provision in both the employment and skills sectors for internal training centres and external sub-contractors. Working closely with each centre manager in a supportive and advisory capacity the remit entailed identifying areas for improvement (SAR, CIP, performance reviews, customer feedback), devising solutions (new delivery plans, paperwork, procedures), implementing new ideas and approaches (training) and ongoing quality monitoring (audit, reports, action planning).

Managing all Internal Verifiers the remit was to;• Performance Manage the Internal Verification team to ensure consistent and timely success across a range of qualifications. • Identify skill gaps and training needs in the delivery team and organise and deliver CPD training • Improve profitability and success through identifying and implementing changes to the delivery model.• Support and motivate a large team of delivery staff across multi site locations.• Maintain good relationships with partners

• Assessing candidates to achieve NVQ’s and Apprenticeships at Levels 2 - 4 in Childcare and other subjects.• An average success rate of 93% Full Framework Apprenticeship and 96% straight NVQ.• Teaching Technical Certificates (classroom based underpinning knowledge) and Key Skills (Maths and English).• Verifying the work of other Assessors. Providing support, training and feedback as necessary.
