Taught Refugee Protection and Trauma Informed Client Service for the Graduate Diploma in Citizenship and Immigration Law for Winter 2023 term. For conflict of interest reasons, appointment to the Refugee Board precluded further teaching engagements in the field of Refugee Protection.

- With Reed Smith LLP and the World Refugee Council successfully advocated for Public Policies allowing 90 survivors of torture or sexual gender-based violence and their families to resettle in Canada from Greece and Jordan- Co- designed in Canada Resettlement Framework for Public Policies - Co-implemented in Canada Resettlement Framework (set up Ally groups to to assist volunteers, oversaw Ally Group operations, co-organized comprehensive training for Ally Groups, sourced housing and medical supports, built relationships with service provider organizations)- Drafted legal submissions to support resettlement applications, provided Legal advice to LLL team members and acted as Canadian Legal Counsel in the submission of all applications.

- Directed a large refugee program involved in test case litigation, with a budget of 2.7 million and a staff of twenty three dedicated lawyers, paralegals social workers and legal aid workers- Advocated for refugee reform in round-tables with the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and his policy advisors and at the Immigration and Refugee Board's consultative committee for practices and procedures- Represented clients and the Refugee Law Office in the media, including appearing on CBC's "The Fifth Estate"- Organized annual refugee conferences for the Law Society of Upper Canada and for the Refugee Law Office- Met with foreign delegations to explain the work of LAO/RLO

-Developed robust procedures for implementing quality standards throughout Ontario for Legal Aid Ontario's refugee lawyers -Secured critical stakeholder engagement in the implementation of panel standards by leveraging a past relationship of trust with the private bar-Chaired the Staff Review Committee ensuring consistency in evaluations by committee members-Promoted conflict resolution by addressing complaints and concerns of service providers in a professional and effective fashion

- Acted as co-counsel in the intervention by the Canadian Council for Refugees in human smuggling cases before the Supreme Court of Canada-Represented refugee claimants in complex cases before the Refugee Protection Division, the Refugee Appeal Division and before the Federal Court-Prepared a "blue-print" for a subsequently implemented North Korean "triage" project seeking to promote access to justice for North Korean refugees in the context of disciplinary proceedings brought against their former Counsel- Mentored junior lawyers.
