My training in creative writing & drama began 20+ years ago at LaVilla School for the Arts. -ranked superior in the regional Thespian Competitions-cast in school productions-member of Improvisation TroupeI continued training in both subjects at Desert Vista HS in Phoenix, AZ. -wrote for the school newspaper-studied theatre under Kenny Fajman alongside Kimiko Glenn.I relocated to Jacksonville in '07, working retail & food service jobs in the vibrant mercantile & arts district, Five Points, while studying at FSCJ, where I graduated with high honors. I continued retail/food service work with small businesses & large corporations, like Whole Foods, where in the bakery I served as the team safety educator—ensuring the department kept up with mandated OSHA training modules and complied with the instruction at work.While at Whole Foods, I was recruited for a Content Specialist position at AutoQuotes. I excelled in data processing; spec writing, database management & passed the CFSP exam. My “annoying eye for detail” as it was referred to, often uncovered discrepancies that went unnoticed—even by manufacturers—making me an ideal employee to assist QC on special projects.I left AQ to pursue a hands-on role in food service—spliting time between baking for a vegan restaurant—focused on items that are also gluten-free, operating my own vegan bakery under Florida’s Cottage Food Law & serving for a café that fell causuality to the pandemic.In June of 2019, a distracted driver successfully crashed my kitchen ambitions. Equipped with an MRI displaying the menagerie of battle wounds my cervical spine sustained, I was unfit to perform the physical tasks required of the type of work I left my desk job for.When Covid-19 turned the work environment as we had known it upside down, remote work afforded me job opportunities that fit with my skills and sensory needs as an autistic woman with chronic pain. Ironically, cannabis was the answer in multiple ways.I began at KindTap in November 2021—working as a part-time administrative assistant. When it was apparent that I was capable of a more complex role, I was promoted to Operations Analyst. As anyone who’s worked for a start-up knows, your job can vary greatly based off the company’s needs at the given moment, and that’s how I ended up managing our first-of-its-kind revolving consumer credit accounts specifically for cannabis before being tapped as our new Client Success Specialist where my focus is on marketing, outreach, client support and training as well as relationship management.
