Participating in strategic planning for the college, I advise the Executive Director of Finance & Administration and the Dean regarding fiscal matters including budgeting, forecasting and trends, compliance, strategic planning, resource allocation, and personnel.I develop and maintain College-wide financial statements, budgets, and contingency plans. I create new financial templates for budgeting purposes for the Departmental Business Administrators and College Grant Coordinators. I conduct trend analyses and monitor budgets and actuals to ensure compliance, determining necessary actions and re-directing efforts toward alternative strategies to ensure budgetary compliance. Trend analysis includes the creation and use of economic modeling and forecasting tools for the College to be used in strategic decision making and accountability. I am accountable for the administrative operations for the entire College including but not limited to: Procurement/purchasing activities; Personnel recruitment and employment activities; Fixed Asset and inventory management; Facility management including security and access; I evaluate financial and personnel management activities to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws, rules, and regulations. I develop, review, and plan for operations flow through the creation and continuous review of policies and procedures for the College's finance and administration function. I initiate, research, and create complex financial, statistical, and managerial analyses for the College for the purpose of making executive College-wide decisions. I recommend and implement solutions based on this data to achieve the mission and strategic objectives of the College. -

I collect and organize data into useful information for purposes such as student tuition analysis, personnel salary and effort analysis, college financial statement construction and analysis, and benchmarking with ASAHP and Santa Fe Research Consortium. -

I serve as resource to the Chairs, faculty and staff on matters relating to indirect revenue projections, projected cost sharing activities, interdepartmental and intradepartmental transfers of funds, programmatic accreditation activities, activity reporting, etc. -

I serve as the liaison between the Office of Development and the MUSC Budget office, Human Resource Management and the Procurement office. My responsibilities are handled with the utmost discretion and confidence as I strive to support the fundraising efforts of the Medical University. -
