Lead Area Operations Manager over a variety of services across the Wales and West England region. Included within scope are a variety of projects; Housing First, young persons and adult residential projects, veterans, floating support, and community outreach projects. Direct responsibility of seven service leads, enabling strategic growth, through the development of tender proposals for new business.

I am jointly responsible for the shared oversight of 15 different centres and direct line management of 5 service leads. I enable the growth or my region through developing tender proposals for new business.• Supported the successful aquisition of two new services in two new regions, increasing financial portfolio of region by over £750,000 per annum.

Led and managed the successful delivery of four Salvation Army functions/projects: Housing First, Reconnection Service, First Response Outreach and Partneriaeth Floating Support. I led a staff team of 32 persons and manage 5 budgets, including, blended government and local authority contracts and one prime local authority contract. I managed an office building and all health and safety elements associated with the operation of my services. I contributed to the strategic vision for my region and supported the wider organisation in the development of business and tender in my specialist fields (Housing First, communities and outreach). •Created a culture of continuous learning within my centre, 75% of my staff team achieved in accredited learning opportunities, with my support.•Developed talent within my workforce, taking an active role in career coaching for my team. I successfully supported over a dozen teams members into more senior roles within my organisation.

Managed the successful delivery of Salvation Army Housing First and Outreach projects (Bus Project and Reconnection Service).•Gained National Accreditation for my Housing First Project. The accreditation recognised my service as a best practise model and was awarded by Julie James, Minister for Climate Change, Senedd Cymru. •Supported my Regional Management Team through the delivery and clear evidencing of Housing First’ success, securing an additional £300,000 of revenue from 2019 - 2021, growing the Housing First Project from five to 25 units.

I co-ordinated the successful delivery of Housing First and Outreach Projects (Salvation Army Bus Project and Reconnection Service), leading the services and managing all other team members within the service. •Developed the Housing First project from the ground up. This included the creation of service specification, staff role profiles, recruitment, and induction of all staff. I also created the data recording methods for the project and completed all project reporting to Welsh Government. •Won a Showcase Award for Homelessness Prevention, gaining national recognition.

Reconnection Service supports clients without a local connection who are rough sleeping, or are at risk of rough sleeping, in Cardiff. I led the project team in finding alternative pathways into accommodation for those who were not entitled to support from Cardiff Council. This included individuals from other areas, rough sleepers and those with NRPF.•Developed the project operationally, from the ground up, including the creation of service specification, role profiles, data recording processes and completed all required reporting to Cardiff Council and Welsh Gov. •Created a successful private rented sector scheme enabling ~120 previously homeless people to successfully secure independent accommodation with a 98% sustainment rate over 12 months. I evidenced the success of this scheme to Cardiff Council, helping to secure an additional £160,000 of revenue for the project.

Responsible for co-ordinating the emergency and longer term supported accommodation for all non-priority homeless adults based in Cardiff, negotiating with providers and a wide variety of statutory and voluntary agencies. • I developed a customer/person focused approach to understanding accommodation needs better. In under 12 months, I improved successful placements from 57% - 86%, based on individual uptake and sustainment of placement over initial 6 months.

Responsible for the support planning and risk management of homeless persons with complex needs, including physical and mental health challenges, behavioural needs, substance dependency and affiliation with the criminal justice system.
