• Responsible for the support and enhancement of the Authority's Oracle-based information systems.• Heavily involved in the analysis, design and coding of new Oracle systems. • Programmed in a range of languages, including C, Pro*C, SQL, PL/SQL and shell scripts.• Documented the Oracle systems, including system design and coding standards, Oracle development training manuals for technical staff, and end-user procedures.• Undertook a feasibility study on the extension of one of the systems to all South Australian Courts (including costings for extending the network to several new sites).• Trained IDMS/mainframe staff in the Oracle environment.• Delivered formal training courses in the use of the Oracle systems to users, including members of the judiciary.• Presented a paper to members of the judiciary at an Australian Institute of Judicial Administrators (AIJA) conference.• Responsible for the support of IBM compatible PCs in use in the Authority. • Prepared the first PC Policy Statement for the Authority.• Provided a consultancy, support and training service to the Royal Commission into the State Bank of South Australia (including the Commissioner, lawyers and administrative staff) in the use of an externally developed Litigation Support Package. • Developed a user guide and procedures manual.• Liaised with the supplier of the software. • Provided a consultancy, support and training service to The Honourable Justice John Perry and his staff in the use of an externally developed Litigation Support Package. • Prepared a report on the quality and suitability of the product, which led to the Courts developing their own Litigation Support System.• In a small team, developed, implemented and supported the new in-house Litigation Support System. • Developed the User Guide for the Litigation Support System.• Completed a major redesign of two existing systems - the Judicial Research Information System and the Network Administration Facility.
