I am a climate scientist interested in understanding and predicting climate extremes and their impacts. My research focuses on the drivers of marine heatwaves and other compound extreme events, with a particular interest in how these phenomena influence marine ecosystems and coastal communities. Leveraging my expertise in climate modeling, statistical analysis, and remote sensing, I strive to provide actionable insights that can inform climate adaptation strategies and enhance resilience against severe weather events.During my PhD, I have specialised in analysing the sub-seasonal to seasonal drivers of marine heatwaves around Australia, exploring the dynamics and predictability of these extreme events. My work has involved extensive use of model, reanalysis, and observational data to understand the climate dynamics and interactions that lead to these extreme events. I am passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration and believe in the power of combining scientific research with practical applications to address the pressing challenges posed by climate change. Through my work, I aim to contribute to a deeper understanding of our planet's climate systems and help develop robust solutions for a more sustainable future.
