As Campaign Manager for the Global Campaign for Equal Nationality Rights, housed at Women's Refugee Commission, I manage the Campaign's efforts to mobilize international action to end gender discrimination in nationality laws. The Campaign executes its mission through its global coalition of NGOs, activists, academics, and UN partner agencies. We conduct advocacy from the local to the international levels, support civil society capacity building, and raise public awareness on the need to achieve gender-equal nationality rights for all.

The Global Campaign for Equal Nationality Rights mobilizes international action to end #GenderDiscrimination in nationality #laws in the 25 countries that prevent mothers from conferring their #nationality on their #children on an #equal basis with fathers; and to achieve law reform in the 50+ countries which deny women equal nationality rights with men, including the conferral of nationality to non-national spouses.Steering Committee members include Equality Now, Equal Rights Trust, Family Frontiers, the Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion, Nationality for All, the UN Refugee Agency, Women's Learning Partnership for Rights, Development, and Peace, and the Women's Refugee Commission, which houses the Campaign.

I liaise with WLP partner organizations in South Asia, the Middle East and Africa, helping to coordinate programs in these countries, and facilitate communications and outreach related to WLP's campaigns and programs.

Conducted research on civil-military relations in Southeast Asia

During this time period I served as the Editorial Assistant at Foreign Affairs magazine.I also served as a research assistant (June - September 2008) for CFR Religion and Foreign Policy Fellow Timothy Shah, conducting research on the history of church-state relations of world religions.
