Catherine Hicks has around 30 years' experience in communications. She most recently served as Group Corporate Affairs Director at Associated British Foods (ABF), which she joined in May 2019, responsible for group corporate communications and public affairs.Prior to that she was Group Corporate Affairs Director for Sky plc, sitting on the group executive team and responsible for corporate communications, policy and public affairs, consumer PR, internal communications, events and the Bigger Picture (social purpose). Before that she was Vice President, Gap Global Communications, responsible globally for employee communications and fashion and brand PR and project managed a major re-set Gap's vision and mission.Prior to joining Gap, Catherine worked for 13 years for global communications firm Brunswick, becoming Partner and advising some the largest consumer facing businesses on corporate campaigns, financial relations, M&A, reputation and brand building and media relations.She has extensive crisis management experience and focuses on delivering proactive, reputation building communications strategies in service to the commercial objectives of organizations. Prior to Brunswick, Catherine was Communication Manager and media spokesperson for one of Australia's largest energy companies, ENERGEX. She has served as a Trustee of the UK charity Tommy's, was on the Marketing Committee of the Gap Foundation and more recently served as an advisor to the Board of Populous, the global architectural firm specializing in sports stadia and venue design.
