Continuous interaction with the supervisory/management team and labor relations to develop and maintain strong, responsible employer/employee relationships based on mutual dignity and respect; Administer all WSIB/Duty to Accommodate and all Return to Work casesMaintain the HRIS system and all Confidential employee/personnel records;Administer and manage all legal compliance issues, including, ESA, Human Rights, OHSA, etc.;Interface and coordinate a variety of issues with outside legal counsel and other professional consultants, or organizations as required;Prepare and participate in employee performance evaluations; Recruit, hire, and orient new employees;Develop and execute employee training as required in all HR/H&S-related areas and to support skills knowledge and development to meet changing business needs;Working with Government agencies to initiate apprenticeships, research grant opportunities and manage the application process to obtain available fundingComplete workplace investigations, discipline, and terminations;Enforce employee relations policies, philosophies;Manage, plan, and execute all employee relations events and programs, designed to improve and/or maintain high employee moraleBack up for Payroll and Benefits Administrator.
