Future Proof Main Street is a program that assists businesses with identifying new markets, pivoting their business model, and developing and implementing a deep digital transformation plan. The program is meant as a detailed deep dive to support businesses and cultural organizations that require support in either transforming their business model or developing and implementing an advanced digital transformation plan. Building on valuable COVID-19 support measures from the federal government, and layering niche, added-value on to existing main street business programs and services this new program will help ‘future proof’ our small business drive our recovery. It will ensure main street firms are well equipped to maintain clients, jobs, and revenue in any economic storm, and continue to operate and grow in any climate.

Developed content for social media platforms through product photography and digital graphics to promote weekly specials and highlight new products. Organized and facilitated promotional events by establishing timelines, contacting stakeholders, and developing creative to increase brand awareness. Wrote and edited website copy incorporating strategic placement of keywords and keyword phrases.

Fashion for Change is one of largest clubs at the University of Waterloo. Fashion for Change is a non-profit organization that unites students to host the largest student-run charity fashion show in the K-W region. FC promotes community involvement, raises awareness and fundraises money for Free the Children organization.Recruited and managed a team of Public Relations executives; including Internal Managers, External Managers and Social Media Outreach Coordinators. Promoted the FC brand according to the club’s mandate through either online, digital, or physical media. Responded to media inquiries and supported event organization in collaboration with 10 other directors and their teams to organize, plan, and execute fundraising events. Strengthened relations between WE Charity’s Programming Coordinator and Fashion for Change acting as the main liaison.
