Responsible for implementing and managing the Quality Assurance Programme for the region and ensuring regulatory and customer certifications are maintained. Accountable for food safety and quality processes, providing visible technical leadership, guidance with risk assessment, investigation of non-conformances and ensuring timely actions on responses. Advanced knowledge of customer and RMP requirements, audit preparation and involvement, and established processes for verifying, monitoring and reporting key quality parameters.

Technical support to the business; Listeria risk management in HCZ, pathogen control in raw poultry and biosecurity in agriculture operations. Developed a skilled team and fine tuned the laboratory into an effective support function.

Contributed to the strategic planning for the site, working closely with the manager to grow the business and increase profitability, and with customers providing technical support, particularly in the areas of primary processing and small goods manufacturing. Responsible for onsite training and overseeing the laboratory quality systems and accreditation.

Responsible for the day to day operation overseeing the Microbiology and Pathogen laboratories. Control of work flows, training and supervision of laboratory personnel, technical support for customers and quality control. IANZ authorised representative, managed IANZ and customer audits, maintained accreditation to ISO 17025:2005.
