As a lead practitioner, I worked within a team focusing on the quality of teaching and learning within the school. In this role I regularly observed and fedback to staff, mentored an aspiring middle leader, mentored a TeachFirst trainee, ran staff CPD and regularly worked with departments on the quality and effectiveness of marking and feedback. Additionally, I had a whole school focus which was to improve the engagement and quality of homework across the academy. Within the Science department, I was responsible for the running of KS4, alongside the head of science. This involved planning and running interventions, data analysis, assessment planning and working with staff to plan for the new linear GCSE. Alongside this I taught a normal timetable, consisting of KS4 trilogy and triple Science and KS5 Biology.
