I have over 30 years of international experience in climate change and environmental policy in the public, private and non-profit sectors. I am currently a Policy Fellow at Motu Economic and Public Policy Research and served as a Commissioner at He Pou a Rangi New Zealand Climate Change Commission from 2019 to 2024. I support the UN-based Taskforce on Net Zero Policy as a member of the Taskforce Expert Group. Under Silver Lining Global Solutions (SilverLiningGS.com), I provide expert consulting services to promote effective government and organisational policy for climate change and sustainable development. In previous roles, I served as a negotiator on the New Zealand delegation to the UNFCCC negotiations and helped to design the groundbreaking New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme.
