I have been teaching for almost 30 years and am a passionate and innovative educator. Developing great thinkers and inquirers, students who can question and apply their knowledge through a wide range of experiences is the atmosphere I aim to develop inside my classrooms. I also believe it is equally important that students develop a strong empathy and understanding of others, learn to work collaboratively and effectively within a group, as well as independently. I encourage my students to take ownership of their learning, whilst also monitoring their development and helping them to reflect on their actions and learning.As a leader I believe it is my role to inspire my team through modelling integrity, passion and a true belief in the importance of schools as places to develop students who can make a positive difference in this world. I also believe that teachers should be life long learners and as such I endeavour to support my staff through professional development opportunities, coaching, mentoring and self reflection.
