The mission of the Resource Council of WNY aims to empower and enrich the lives of youth, adults and families by providing access to vital programs and services that meet the diverse needs and values of the communities we serve. Our overarching vision is to improve the quality-of-life for individuals and families through programming dedicated to education, sports and recreation, food insecurity, health and wellness, advocacy, partnerships and family support services. In doing so, we hope to empower every individual we serve to realize their fullest potential to live their best lives. Located in the historic Cold Spring/Masten District neighborhood on the East Side of Buffalo, this beloved recreational facility, (formerly known as the Humboldt YMCA), has served as a community anchor and cultural landmark to countless generations for well over nine decades. The building has been home to the Resource Council of WNY since 2015 and continues to serve as a neighborhood hub and safe-haven to individuals and families residing throughout the City of Buffalo and Western New York.

ECON 201 Intro to Economics:This course reviews the following topics: economic method, demand and supply, consumer and producer theory, effects of market structure, and selected topics on factor markets, resource limits, public choice analysis, the role of government, and perspectives on government and markets. The course also includes an overview of certain general topics such as integration of Christian faith and economic ideas, the meaning of scarcity, the role of economic institutions, the economy as a system, economic endowments, and wealth and poverty.

Administered the successful service delivery of a full-range of grant-funded programs that help move individuals and families towards self-sufficiency. Worked with the President/CEO to facilitate the execution of the strategic plan and ongoing organizational and programmatic development. Provided oversight of four large community centers and two community resource sites. Also served in the capacity of the agency’s Public Information Officer managing all media communications, social networks and four weekly, public affairs shows.
