Together with Katharine Collins, my co-director, we have formed Coaching for Unpaid Carers to make good quality coaching available and accessible to as many carers as possible and to raise awareness of the needs of unpaid carers, and the many benefits that coaching has to offer this client group. We offer a range of coaching-based interventions for individuals and groups of carers, both in the workplace and in the community, as well as for those whose role involves supporting unpaid carers.

As Chair of the Patient Liaison Group for the BMA I have the lead for providing the BMA with an informed patient view on matters of interest to the medical profession and to patients. The Patient Liaison Group is made up of lay members and doctor members, and acts as an internal reference group for the BMA. It works to inform BMA policy by ensuring that patient views are represented. It also highlights areas of patient concern to the BMA.
