My rolve involves developing and delivering the fundraising strategy for the Institute of Cancer Sciences at the University of Glasgow. My focus is The Beatson Pebble Appeal, The Paul O'Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre and the Brain Tumour Research Fund.

I was responsible for major donor research,cultivation, stewardship and events, working at the heart of the fundraising appeal for the William Quarrier Scottish Epilepsy Centre in Glasgow. This is one of the most advanced facilities for epilepsy assessment and diagnosis in the world. The Centre opened in April 2013.

I identified and researched Corporate and High Net Worth Individual prospects, managed cultivation events and contributed to the fundraising and stewardship strategies as part of the £45million capital appeal to build the V&A at Dundee.

I worked with a wide variety of corporate partners from sectors including banking, investment, retail, hospitality,consulting and technology. My role involved researching and qualifying prospects, donor cultivation, securing major gifts, stewardship and communication. I also managed a board of senior corporate volunteers and contributed to the private sector fundraising strategy at The Prince's Trust.

I identified and secured income from trusts and foundations across Scotland and line managed one employee. I was also responsible for identifying new business opportunities and managing contracts with Local Authorities and Community Planning Partnerships.

I joined the British Market Research Bureau to develop my research and account management skills as part of their graduate training programme. Working with a range of public and private sector clients, I conducted customer and employee research. This involved interpreting client briefs, coordinating fieldwork, analysing results, presenting the results to the client and helping the client to communicate results to employees and customers.

I supported an MSP by assisting with constituent enquiries, writing research briefings, speeches and press releases and attending parliamentary committees and events.
