I worked on-call for substitute teaching in LCPS for a couple of years, mostly in elementary schools as a classroom teacher, SpEd aide, art and music teacher. After establishing some contacts in the school system, I took long-term sub jobs teaching art full time for a couple of years, until the pandemic shut down the schools. We moved out of the area shortly after.

Leesburg United Methodist Church

I occasionally covered for our church secretary when she takes vacation time. The job entitled answering calls and emails, filing, compiling and printing meeting agendas and the Sunday bulletins, and updating the calendar for use of the facilities. I also served on the Church Council and taught Sunday School at LUMC.

Leesburg United Methodist Church

I was supervising 3-10 children, ages infant to 4, in the nursery at LUMC every weekday from 8 am to 1 pm, and Sunday evenings from 4:30 to 6 pm. I made a weekly theme with stories, crafts, songs and local outings for the children. I was re-certified in CPR, the Heimlich maneuver and the Church's EDT Heart Start machine. I am excited to be working in child care.
