Neurodivergence makes life rich.!Our society and history would be impoverished without our neurodivergent (ND) thinkers and creators in tech, science and the arts. Autism, ADHD, learning differences, are all part of the warp and weave of human society. In fact, I believe that brains which are unique, that work differently, that are divergent from the societal norm, are in fact critical to our survival and future as a species. We need all hands on deck. Neurodiversity is a fact. It simply means that everyone's brain is unique. Some forms of neurodivergence can be more challenging than others. When the challenges are great enough, society tends to label them as "deficits." Society and many professionals leave us with a feeling of wrongness, brokenness, fear, and the unconscious expectation of a kind of permanent, long term loss. But the neurodiverse child, or adult, is not "broken." Just different. When it comes to developing human beings, one size does not fit all!Parenting Diversity is dedicated to the notion that every child and adult deserves respect, agency, and appreciation, and to not just survive, but to thrive. We take a strengths-based approach to all neurodivergence: these are brain differences, not necessarily deficits. That means we help you focus on what you love, what you value, where you thrive, how you want to be and move in the world. Our commitment is to authenticity and wholeness. Whether you are a neurodivergent individual or parent of an ND child, we are here to help you thrive in all aspects of your life, including becoming the best parent for your child. Whether you or your child are living a journey with autism, ADHD, or the myriad of other developmental or associated conditions, we are here to support you.Parenting Diversity was founded on this commitment to individuals, parents and youth. In addition to serving parents, we coach youth ages 14 to 18.

Certified Neurodiversity Family Coach; Life Coach For Neurodivergent AdultsParenting Diversity Sep 2020 - PresentUnited StatesInvestment in ourselves is the most critical investment we can make. Investment in our own personal development and growth, nurturing of our families and communities, this is where the key to fulfillment lies. Work/Life Balance needs to be the foundation. Success and then paying it forward are the goals.I carry in my heart and mind an unconditional positive regard for each person I encounter. I believe and feel the saying: ”we are all just walking each other home.” Most of what people deal with is invisible to others. My Life experiences have fed like tributaries into my work as a Neurodevelopmental Family Coach. My training is in psychology, child development, communication and education. My background is as an English Language Coach to over 2000 individuals in 26 countries. I still provide private English coaching and now I coach individuals, youth and neurodivergent families. As we grow and mature as humans, always the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Life is alchemy, and the purpose of Family and Life Coaching is to provide a safe place in which that alchemy takes place. I was born in Berkeley CA and raised in Honolulu, Hi. I have lived in Mexico, Costa Rica, Canada and the US. All these places are in my blood. I now reside in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest, across the water from Seattle, overlooking the Salish Sea. I live with the love of my life and a 4 year old German Shepard named “Mr. Queets,” who loves swimming and chasing balls. In my spare time you will find me camping, hiking, kayaking, baking ginger cookies, and throwing balls for Mr Queets.
