• Assisted in the setting up & implementation of the pilot Western Cape Industrial Symbiosis Programme. This is a multiple award-winning free facilitation service which uses an industrial symbiosis approach to enhance.
• Adjusted the ISL methodology to effectively implement industrial symbiosis exchanges within our local context.
• Assisted businesses to identify & realise new business opportunities for unused or discarded resources (materials, energy, water, logistics, assets & expert knowledge). This was done through business workshops &.
• Researched alternative input materials & waste legislation.
• Designed reporting indicators for economic, social & environmental impact from the resource exchanges i.e. cost savings, additional revenue generated, jobs created, tonnes diverted from land fill & reduction in GHG.

• Coordinated the geological analysis of 10,000 Alaskan sea bed samples at Scientific Services for AuruMar - a gold exploration company partially owned by De Beers Marine & AngloGold Ashanti.
