The Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association (ARITA) represents practitioners and other associated professionals who specialise in the fields of restructuring, insolvency and turnaround. The 2,400+ members include accountants, lawyers, bankers, credit managers, academics and other professionals, representing some 76 percent of registered liquidators and 86 percent of registered trustees.ARITA delivers innovative training courses, Forums, Seminars, Divisional and National Conferences. My role was to oversee the schedule of 150+ events a year throughout Australia, including budget management, sponsor, speaker and stakeholder relationship management.

Working with the Head of Recruitment to coordinate outreach events including Open Day (28,000 attendees), Info Day (12,000 attendees) and numerous Careers Advisers and Teachers Day, Discover Engineering Days and High School visits on and off campus. I worked alongside the Faculty’s Marketing Team to promote events in line with University strategy to achieve high attendance and develop new activities to engage targeted audiences. I was involved in researching speakers and program content from within the University and also externally. I represented the University speaking to prospective students and their parents about the fantastic opportunities available at the University of Sydney.

Working in a sales focused role, my main responsibilities were to secure new business and maximise function sales with existing customers within the Club's seven function rooms and events spaces. This included end to end management of event scoping, planning, budgeting and on the day management with clients. Essential to this was liaison with all business units to prepare events: operations, catering, audio visual suppliers, and staff.

Representing 95% of the UK mortgage lending industry, the Council of Mortgage Lenders promotes a sustainable housing market for its members of banks, building societies, specialist lenders and other key stakeholders, hosting a series of conferences, seminars, workshops and networking lunches and dinners throughout the year. I oversaw the execution of all CML events with the following responsibilities:- Set and managed the overall budget (including events, marketing and sponsorship) - Line managed the senior events organiser and events organiser- Organised the highest profile events including the CML’s flagship annual conference (250+ dels) and dinner (1,100+ attendees) - Planned and developed all the event programmes for the CML’s conferences and seminars; liaising with colleagues and other key stakeholders in designing compelling programmes for members- Established strong working relationships with key contacts within member organisations and associate members- Supported the sponsorship executive in sourcing and securing appropriate sponsors and exhibitors for events- Built and maintained relationships with key suppliers, including outsourced exhibition companies, event software companies, venues and other agencies
