The Sporting Events Team is due to raise over £422,000 this financial year.• Recruiting participants to the Sporting Events programme through effective marketing analysis, promoting events and ordering promotional materials.• Managing and delivering a high standard of donor care and communications with existing supporters.• Working on marketing plans and social media presence to find innovative ways to engage with new supporters.• Maintaining and updating the sporting events webpages including ensuring all details are correct throughout the year and that the copy and images are checked and edited regularly.• Planning and budgeting to deliver the Sporting Events strategy, including monitoring the income and expenditure budgets on a monthly basis, making contingencies and plans for variations against target.• Ensuring that there is effective and accurate database management by all members of the team.• Liaising with external event companies, media outlets and other internal departments to maximise efficiency in expenditure as well as income.• Organising merchandise and managing stock levels.• Delegating and managing Sporting Events Assistant & Apprentice.• Ensuring high level of support on events days. This includes coordinating preparations for attendance at sporting events and recruiting volunteers to support cheer points.• Adhering to the highest standards of fundraising best practice as set out in the Institute of Fundraising’s Codes of Practice and ensure that all activities comply fully with the relevant Data Protection obligations and any other legislation.
