Integral part of writing specifications, defining expectations, guiding development and acceptance testing of the SERC Portal and public website. Designated as the Subject Matter Expert for all compliance aspects. Proposed innovative approaches and suggested improvements to existing processes. The SERC Portal was the primary mechanism for entities to maintain and submit regional information which encompassed compliance, registration, transmission and generation data, reliability assessments, meeting administration and sign-up, committee rosters, secure document posting and member voting.Key player in formalizing an agreement among seven regional entities to form the Regional Consortium Users Group (CUG). The purpose of the CUG was to collaborate and share resources to streamline enhancement efforts for the Compliance Portal applications, which was based on the existing SERC portal.Key member of the Technical Feasibility Exceptions (TFEs) Tiger Team that developed Appendix 4D “Procedure for Requesting and Receiving Technical Feasibility Exceptions to NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Standards” of the NERC Rules of Procedure. Lead project manager for accelerating implementation of the TFE process into seven regional entity portals.Individually responsible for executing the Self-Certification, Periodic Data Submittal and Exception Reporting processes in support of the SERC Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program and Annual Implementation Plan. Administered and reviewed thousands of filings each year.

Represented TVA on the North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) Data Exchange Working Group. The NERC DEWG is responsible for supporting the data needs of Reliability Coordinators and other entities and for developing methodologies to facilitate the exchange of real-time, modeling, and other operational data to help assure reliable electric power system operations. Member of the Power System Modeling Focus Team.Integral member of the EMS transition team. Responsible for migrating critical functions from the Harris M9600 Control System to the new Telegyr EMS system. This work required expedient results due to the nature of the real-time environment and system reliability needs.Provided the primary technical and engineering leadership for implementation and testing of the Telegyr Network Applications. Led a team to build a model of the 500kV transmission system.Completed Factory Acceptance Tests on the NERC InterRegional Security Network (ISN) computer system. The NERC ISN provides near real-time data to all Security Coordinators to monitor and analyze transmission system reliability. Responsible for on-going development and data maintenance. Wrote discrepancy reports during testing of the system that were used to determine when the ISN was completely functional and met the system specifications.
